During the breast augmentation procedure, an incision is made
under the arm, around the nipple, above the belly button, or
under the breast, and a saline-filled implant is gently placed
under or over the pectoral muscles. The incision is then
stitched closed and left to heal. Side effects of breast
augmentation plastic surgery typically include swelling,
bruising, tenderness, and a temporary decrease in nipple
sensitivity, but most subside within a few weeks. The entire
